Hair masks are great for promoting hair growth, and giving your hair a nice shiny appearance. These are some great DIY hair masks that you can use to get the healthy hair you have always wanted! 🙂

The best product that you could ever put on your hair is coconut oil. It is the ONLY oil that can completely penetrate your hair shaft for moisturization; and prevent sebum buildup. Also, it can fight mild forms of dandruff, give your hair shine and luster, and prevent hair damage (such as breakage and split ends).  That is why the first hair masks I am going to mention contains coconut oil. 😉

  1. This is a hair mask that my mom uses regularly to promote hair growth and prevent damage. I highly recommend trying this one. You will need; coconut oil, and peppermint oil (optional). Before you take a shower, coat your hair from root to tip with coconut oil until your hair is completely saturated. (The amount of coconut oil you need will depend on hair thickness and length) You can add a nice smelling essential oil like peppermint to it if you want. Leave this in for 15-30 min and then wash out in the shower. Be sure to double shampoo so as not to leave any coconut oil in your hair! 🙂coc2. The second hair mask for you today has coconut in it as well, but it also contains jojoba oil which strengthens and nourishes hair as well as giving it natural luster and shine. Take 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil and melt it with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Coat your hair with it, (you can put it on just your ends like a conditioner or coat you hair from root to tip) and leave it in anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hrs. You can sleep with this mask on as well to really moisturize your hair if you want to. Again, make sure you double shampoo to get all of that oil off your scalp!

Those are my top two favorite hair masks, and if you want to hear about more, just tell me in the comments below. Also, if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them! 🙂

I would LOVE some feedback on my posts and any other suggestions as to what I can blog that is hair-related. Would you like me to do hairstyles? Hacks? More haircare? Just let me know down below! 🙂
